PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine forest physiognomy in a forest physiognomy zone on the basis of only airborne laser-measured data and automatically create classified forest physiognomy maps.SOLUTION: A feature quantity extractor 20 searches, on the basis of airborne laser-measured data 30 acquired by scanning an object area including forests, for prescribed feature quantities including the value of the ratio of a first pulse to the total number of reflection pulses, reflection strengths, tree heights and a texture feature quantity extracted from a pattern resulting from binarization of images in the object area being used as pixel values. A forest physiognomy class determining unit 22 determines, on the basis of feature quantities in each of the zones set in the object area, forest physiognomy in the pertinent zone and creates classified forest physiognomy maps. |
