PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical adapter for connecting a medical instrument to an endoscope.SOLUTION: A surgical adapter 500 comprises: a housing portion configured to have a distal attachment portion; and an advancing assembly at least partially disposed within the housing portion, the advancing assembly having a selective operable actuating member. The distal attachment portion is configured to operably attached to a proximal portion of an endoscope. A portion of a medical instrument is receivable within the housing portion so as to be operably engaged with the advancing assembly such that the advancing assembly is selectively actuated to selectively axially move a distal end of the medical instrument with respect to the endoscope. |
