<p>(Task) It is possible to improve the removal efficiency of foreign substances and effectively prevent scratches or dust on a stripe pattern on the back side of a web in a web driving direction. (Method of solution) The present invention includes: a backup roller (12) which supports a returning web (W) by winding the web and is rotated by the returning of the web; a cleaning roller (14) which nips the web between the cleaning roller and the backup roller, removes foreign substances attached on the surface of the web by transferring onto the surface of the roller having adhesive rubber, and is rotated by the returning of the web; an adhesive roller (16) which presses the cleaning roller, removes foreign substances transferred to the cleaning roller by transferring onto the surface of the roller having adhesive rubber, and is rotated by the rotation of the cleaning roller; a central part driving speed measuring unit (56A) which measures the rotation speed (V1) of the central part of the cleaning roller; an edge part driving speed measuring unit (56B) which measures the rotation speed (V2) of the edge part of the backup roller; and a driving speed difference rate adjusting unit (58) which adjusts the driving speed difference rate ([(V2-V1)/V1]×100) based on the measured speed of the central part and the edge part.</p> |
