PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber that can absorb hammering sound.SOLUTION: A shock absorber includes: a housing 55 formed with at least a part of channels of passages 90 and 91 to which a working fluid flows from one chamber 12 within a cylinder 10 in response to movement of a piston 11; a free piston 57 provided movably in the housing 55 for dividing the second passages 90 and 91 into upstream and downstream sides; and spring members 58 and 59 holding the free piston 57 at a neutral position in the housing 55, an elastic member 60 being arranged between the free piston 57 and the housing 55 in an axial direction, a material itself of the elastic member 60 exhibiting elasticity. |
