<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal oscillator with excellent characteristics in which the effect of an unwanted mode is eliminated as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: A crystal diaphragm 1 is made of an AT-cut crystal diaphragm and comprises: a thin portion 10 which is rectangular in a plan view; and a thick portion 11 which is rectangular in a plan view and thicker than the thin portion 10. On both principal surfaces of the thick portion 11, excitation electrodes 12 and 13 are formed to face each other, and they are connected to connection electrodes 12b and 13b, respectively. The connection electrodes 12b and 13b are unevenly distributed at a corner C1 of the crystal diaphragm 1, while the thick portion 11 and the excitation electrodes 12 and 13 are unevenly distributed at a corner C2, with the former parts and the latter parts arranged to be spaced apart in a diagonal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
