<p>A paper material supply device comprises: a hollow first duct (17) having a transfer space (16) therein; a paper material insertion section (18) provided on the upstream side of the first duct (17) and allowing a paper material (7) to be inserted therefrom into the first duct (17); a discharge cyclone (19) provided on the downstream side of the first duct (17) and discharging the paper material (7) from the inside of the first duct (17) to a measurement section (11); an air blower (20) for blowing air into the first duct (17) to generate an air flow (63) for causing the paper material (7), which is inserted into the first duct (17) from the paper material insertion section (18), to flow to the discharge cyclone (19).
