<p>The system has two sets of two elements in which an element of an array defines an emitting face of the array. Another set of elements of another array defines another emitting face of the latter array. The elements of the two arrays are rotated about an azimuth axis (32) in a twisted relationship such that two emitting faces are angled in different directions based on the rotation. Electrical conductors are connected with respect to the elements. The elements at opposite ends of the former array are rotated about the axis by 10 degrees relative to each other. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a medical ultrasound transducer of elements (2) a method for manufacturing an acoustic array involves connecting two set of ultrasound elements of the array with a memory alloy.</p> |
