摘要 Disclosed are an automated management system and method for fault events of a data center. A fault event monitoring unit is configured to check statuses of servers to detect occurrence of a fault event, and if a fault event occurs, determine whether an automated action is possible. A fault event related action recommending unit is configured to, with respect to a fault event that is newly detected by the fault event monitoring unit or determined to be difficult to be resolved by an action stored in a fault event related action storage unit, search for and extract information related to the fault event determined to be difficult to be resolved from information accumulated in a fault event information knowledge storage unit, and based on the extracted information, generate and output a group of automated action candidates for the fault event determined to be difficult to be resolved. A fault event action unit is configured to automatically take an action against a fault event detected by the fault event monitoring unit by use of the action accumulated in the fault event related action storage.

A system for automatically managing a fault event, the system comprising: a fault event analysis unit configured to analyze a piece of fault event related material to generate pieces of summary information about the piece of fault event related material, and to generate a response corresponding to a first fault event of a type according to an analysis of an association between the generated pieces of summary information; a first storage unit configured to store a fault event pattern generated by associating the first fault event of the type with the response; a second storage unit configured to store actions taken and verified with respect to fault events that have occurred; a fault event monitoring unit configured to check statuses of servers to detect occurrence of a second fault event, and if the second fault event occurs, to determine whether an automated action is possible; a fault event related action recommending unit configured to search for and extract information regarding the second fault event that is detected by the fault event monitoring unit or determined to be difficult to resolve according to a first action stored in the second storage unit, the information regarding the second fault event based on information stored in the first storage unit, and to generate and output a group of automated action candidates for the second fault event; and a fault event action unit configured to automatically take a second action against a fault event detected by the fault event monitoring unit by use of the first action accumulated in the second storage unit.
