The present invention is provided with: a distensible elastic tube (1) in which a gas is sealed; a medical instrument (an endoscope camera (2)) fastened to the distal end of the elastic tube (1); a non-distensible tube (3) which is connected to and communicates with the other end of the elastic tube (1), and in which a gas is sealed; a non-stretching body (4) affixed to the elastic tube (1) in the lengthwise axial direction and having flexibility; a connecting tube (5) of hollow cylindrical shape connected to the a non-distensible tube (3), and having flexibility and non-distensibility; and a control device (20) for variable control of the gas pressure inside the elastic tube (1). The gas pressure is controlled by the control device (20), whereby the elastic tube (1) may be distended or contracted at the opposite side from the non-stretching body (4), and the elastic tube (1) bent to any angle.
