<p>The invention relates to a process and an installation for treating waste oily emulsions. The claimed process consists in treating the waste emulsions with calcium sulphate powder, after which concentrated sulphuric acid is introduced to absorb water from the oily substances, resulting in an acid mixture with release of heat, in which the emulsion colloids increase in size, the oils in non-colloidal state move up to the mass highest level and the oils absorbed on the calcium sulphate powders increase in size and settle down. The claimed installation consists of a tank (1) for collecting the raw oily emulsions, an acid-proof reaction vessel (2) fixed on a work platform (6) on which some sulphuric acid and calcium sulphate reservoirs (4 and 5), respectively, are mounted, two filters (15A and 15B) positioned under the reaction vessel (2) and some acid-resistant filters resting on some grates.</p> |
