摘要 |
The present invention relates to prevention or treatment of Parkinson′s disease as novel use of asarinin or (-)-sesamin. According to the present invention, asarinin or (-)-sesamin exhibits an effect of increasing dopamine biosynthesis and a protection effect against to 6-OHDA-induced cytotoxcity. Dopamine biosynthesis is increased by activation of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), which is a dopamine biosynthesis catalyst, induced by activation of PKA-CREB in a PC12 cell. The protection effect against to 6-OHDA-induced cytotoxcity is exhibited by inducing inhibitory effect against activity of caspase-3 mediating p38MAPK-JNK signal transfer and ERK-Bad-BAX signal transfer. With respect to a nerve system protection effect of dopamine, asarinin or (-)-sesamin of the present invention can be advantageously used to develop a treating agent for degenerative nerve diseases such as Parkinson′s disease. |
