<p>An authorisation system (2) for a dispenser (4) is described comprising a first ID device (18), a reading device (10) configured for detachably coupling or association with the dispenser (4), and a controller (8) for controlling the dispenser. The device (10) comprises an ID device reader (12), a wireless communication system (14) for communicating with the controller and a rechargeable power supply (16) for providing power to at least the ID device reader and the communication system. The device (10) is configured to read and communicate identification data held by the first ID device (18) to the controller (8) when the device (10) and the first ID device (18) are within a reading range of each other. The controller (8) makes a determination regarding authorisation to dispense product from the dispenser (4).</p> |
