PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for materialization of a secondary battery which is easy to manufacture, which allows the suppression of the expansion of the negative electrode resulting from charge/discharge, which has a capacity hard to lower even with the battery stored under high-temperature or low-temperature environment, and which has good cycle characteristics at high and low temperatures.SOLUTION: The negative electrode for a secondary battery comprises: a negative electrode active material, a binder, and a water-soluble polymer. In the negative electrode, the water-soluble polymer is a copolymer which contains 0.5-20 wt% of sulfonic group-containing monomer unit, and 5-30 wt% of phosphate group-containing monomer unit. The manufacturing method of a negative electrode for a secondary battery is one for manufacturing the negative electrode, the slurry is one used for manufacturing the negative electrode, and the secondary battery is one which includes the negative electrode. |
