PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce size of a portable electronic device in comparison with a conventional portable electronic device, in the portable electronic device comprising a touch input apparatus where a touch panel is arranged on a surface of a display.SOLUTION: A portable electronic device comprises a touch input apparatus comprising a touch panel 6 arranged on a surface of a display 4. The touch panel 6 is constituted so as to protrude a lead section 62 at an end portion of a detecting section 61. The detecting section 61 comprises: a matrix region (A) where X value detection lines 63 and Y value detection lines 64 are arranged in matrix; and an extraction region (B) where a plurality of extraction lines 65 extending from the matrix region (A) in the same direction as the X value detection lines 63 and to the lead section 62 are arranged. A first touch input section is composed of the matrix region (A) of the touch panel 6, and a second touch input section is composed of the extraction region (B). |
