<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a norbornene-based hydrogenated ring-opened polymer having excellent steam barrier property, transparency and sufficient mechanical strength. <P>SOLUTION: The norbornene-based hydrogenated ring-opened polymer is obtained by being subjected to: a ring-opening polymerization process including a step (1) of conducting ring-opening polymerization to a norbornene-based monomer (A), and a step (2) of conducting ring-opening polymerization to a norbornene-based monomer (B); and then a process of hydrogenating the obtained ring-opened polymer, wherein the hydrogenated ring-opened polymer has a melting point of 110 to 145°C and a Tg of 40 to 300°C. The norbornene-based monomer (A) is a monomer containing 90 to 100 wt.% of 2-norbornene. The norbornene-based monomer (B) is a monomer giving a non-crystalline hydrogenated ring-opened polymer having a Tg of 50 to 300°C. The proportion of the monomer (A) is 60 to 99 wt.%, and the proportion of the monomer (B) is 1 to 40 wt.%, with respect to the whole monomer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
