Body electrode system (1) comprising a set of standalone electrodes units (2) for measuring physiological signals of a body part and/or electrically stimulate a body part, a connecting garment (3) providing electrical connection between each standalone unit of the set; each unit (2) of the set being individually positionable at a specific chosen position onto the body to be sensed and/or stimulated;and the garment (3) being electrically connectable to said units (2), preferably after placement of said set onto the body.
