The present invention relates to a low-sodium salt and a preparation method thereof. The present invention reduces the content of sodium to prevent a body from being harmed by the excessive intake of sodium and ensure the health of the consumer as well as meeting the consumer′s expectation regarding his or her health. The method includes the steps of: preparing saltwater through pre-processing solar salt with ultrasonic waves for 10 to 60 minutes; conducting an electrolytic process with the prepared saltwater; processing natural plant fermentation including shiitake mushrooms, red pepper, and kelp with the ultrasonic waves for 1 to 30 minutes and using the extract in an ion conversion process with the saltwater undergone the electrolysis treatment process; acquiring refined saltwater and mixing the refined saltwater with the natural plant fermentation at the mixture ratio of 1:99 to 99:100 (%/%) to decatize the final product from the reaction; and drying the functional low-sodium salt with infrared rays for 1 to 48 hours. The present invention can prepare the low-sodium salt while maintaining the salty taste of the conventional salt to reduce the content of sodium causing high blood pressure or heart disease. |
