This invention is a type of pump drive unit for extracting water, petroleum or other fluids by alternating between top-down and bottom-up operation using a pumping string that enables fluids to be extracted from thousands of meters down. This unit can be used in any well that uses a mechanical pump without any modification to the existing installation, and it achieves a reduction in operating and extraction equipment costs on the order of 20%.
