In a programmed sequence controller a stepping switch 12 selects steps of a programme set up in a command logic matrix 11 and through a switch arm 23 and diodes 31, 32 a current flows from a battery 30 to relays R1, R2 for the desired operations such as solenoid valves 33, 34. Limit switches LS1, LS2 are closed on completion of the operations to apply through diodes 16, 17 a current from a battery 18 which through a switch arm 22 actuates the operating coil 20 of switch 12 to step the switch to next step in the programme. When a step in the programme is time controlled a threebit binary counter, fed from a time-pulse generator 35 is started and reset through lines 47, 50 connected as shown to steps in the command logic matrix. Adjustment of the set-point of a temperature controller 51 is effected through a digital to analogue convertor 52. In a modification the stepping switch is replaced by a flip-flop binary counter.</p> |
