<p>The meter has a measuring element (10) arranged perpendicular to magnetic field at a wall (12) of a measuring pipe (14). The measuring element includes an electrically conductive electrode (16) and a porous, electrically non-conductive cap (18) that covers a side of the electrode, where the side faces towards fluid. The cap is manufactured from a material, which includes a small zeta-potential i.e. approximately zero zeta-potential, relative to the fluid flowing through the measuring pipe. The electrode is made of silver. The cap is formed from an oxidic mixed ceramic.</p> |
