<p>A superconducting magnet includes a pair of superconducting coils (110), two heat shields (130) surrounding the pair of superconducting coils (110), respectively, two vacuum chambers (140) accommodating the two heat shields (130), respectively, and facing each other with a predetermined space (20) sandwiched therebetween, a magnetic shield (180) covering at least a portion of the two vacuum chambers (140), and two position adjustment mechanisms (190) supporting the two vacuum chambers (140), respectively, in a position-adjustable manner. The two position adjustment mechanisms (190) change distribution of a static magnetic field formed in the predetermined space (20) by the pair of superconducting coils (110), by adjusting relative positional relation between the two vacuum chambers (140).</p> |
