The system (1a) comprises a fuel cell system (3) located in an operational gas container (5), a gas receiving device (7) connected to the operational gas container for storage of boil-off gas (BO), a sorbent for receiving the boil-off gas from the operating gas container. The fuel cell system comprises a cooling system with a coolant spacer that is connected to the gas receiving device. The fuel cell system and the gas receiving device are arranged in series at the coolant spacer. A pressure regulator regulates the pressure in the gas receiving device.
