The domestic appliance, and especially a cooking appliance, has a muffle with an accessory fitting (11) mounted in a side wall (17). A bearing bolt is installed in a fitting hole (19) for the mounting of the accessory fitting. A wall element is provided on the cooking chamber inner side and in it is formed the fitting hole for the bearing bolt. The wall element is constructed as an angled profiled component and has a locating flange in contact with the muffle wall.
