The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for testing self-propulsion of a twin-screw ship to compare the performance of propellers having different designs from each other. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for testing the self-propulsion of a twin-screw ship comprises: a step of installing a first propeller and a second propeller having different designs from each other in a model twin-screw ship; a step of towing the model twin-screw ship; and a step of controlling each number of revolutions of the first propeller and the second propeller to allow the model twin-screw ship to be self-propelled. |
