Provided is a light source apparatus (1) including a plurality of semiconductor light sources (21, 22) that output beams of light (L1, L2) having different wavelengths; a plurality of light collimating portions (31, 32) that convert the respective beams of light (L1, L2) output from these light sources (21, 22) to collimated light beams; a combining portion (4) that combines the plurality of collimated beams (L1, L2) produced by these light collimating portions (31, 32) into a single light path; a light guide (7) whose entrance end (7a) is disposed in the single light path; a focusing portion (5) that focuses the collimated beams (L1, L2) combined by the combining portion (4) onto the entrance end (7a); and a light-distribution-characteristics adjusting portion (6) that adjusts beam diameters of the plurality of beams of light (L1, L2) so that numerical apertures of the plurality of beams of light (L1, L2) incident on the entrance end (7a) become substantially equal. |
