<p>A device and a method for controlling rotation of a radar are provided. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a device, for controlling rotation of a radar, which can rotate with a constant velocity and precisely stop in a designated direction even if the radar is affected by external environmental factors. The present invention comprises: an induction motor which receives motor driving current and generates a rotational force; a rotary unit which rotates by the rotational force generated from the induction motor; a gear unit which includes at least one gear and delivers the rotational force generated from the induction motor to the rotary unit with a predetermined gear ratio; a control unit for generating a velocity control signal having a pre-set default value in response to a radar driving command which is applied by a user command; a location determination unit which detects rotation of the rotary unit and generating a location information signal which indicates an actual direction of the rotary body; and a driving control unit for calculating an angular velocity which is a rotational velocity of the rotary unit according to the velocity control signal, converting power into motor driving current in a PWM method in response to the angular velocity and applying the current to the induction motor, comparing the actual rotational velocity, which is obtained by analyzing the location information signal, and angular velocity of the rotary unit and compensating the motor driving current to make the actual rotational velocity and angular velocity the same.</p> |
