1. A method for controlling a composite device that includes a gas compressor installation and a heat recovery system; the composite device further comprising a controller and a parameter determining device that determines one or more system parameters of both the gas compressor installation and the heat recovery system; comprising the steps:
absorbing heat from the gas compressor installation and using said absorbed heat in the heat recovery system; using said system parameters as an indication of the partial efficiency of the gas compressor installation and the heat recovery system, respectively; and controlling via the controller both the gas compressor installation and the heat recovery system on the basis of the system parameters in a manner such that the overall efficiency of the composite device is optimised. |
