Gentle to skin adhesive

Electron beam and gamma radiation crosslinked, silicone gel adhesives are described. Both nonfunctional and functional poly diorganosiloxanes are used. Methods of forming the adhesives, and medical articles incorporating such adhesives are also described.

An adhesive comprising a radiation cured silicone gel, wherein the adhesive is prepared without a catalyst, wherein the silicone gel comprises a crosslinked poly diorganosiloxane material and a noncrosslinked poly diorganosiloxane fluid, wherein the poly diorganosiloxane material consists of one or more non-functional poly diorganosiloxanes, and wherein the adhesive further comprises a silicate resin tackifier.
