The present invention relates to a method for growing leafy vegetables with high content of zinc. The method includes the steps of: germinating and growing leafy vegetables in a culture medium solution for two to six weeks; adding zinc by the concentration rate of the 0.0001 ~ 0.02 mol/l in the culture medium solution to grow the vegetables in a leafy vegetable growing environment maintaining the temperature at 18-30°C, the carbon dioxide concentration rate at 600±50ppm, and the humidity level at 60-75% for another two to ten weeks to contain the organophilic zinc though the culture medium solution. When a consumer takes the leafy vegetables with high content of zinc in the form of powder, the vegetables can prevent or treat various diseases such as growth disorders, diabetes, sexual dysfunction, infertility, and birth defects. The powder of the leafy vegetables can also prevent the metabolic disorders such as skin disorders, taste sensitivity disorder, night blindness, corneal opacities, decreased activity, delayed action, and depression. |
