<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair which is comfortable to sit on without imparting discomfort to a back of a seated person.SOLUTION: A chair includes a backrest which is supported by a support structure, and the backrest has a back plate extending in the vertical direction. The back plate is arranged to face a backrest supporting part and has a deformation part in which an elastic deformation tolerance in a direction perpendicular to the surface is relatively large compared to the other sites of the back plate. A forward and backward movable part 20 which displaces and guides the back plate in a front-back direction with respect to the backrest supporting part, is provided in sites which are in the vicinity of the deformation part and correspond to the outside parts of the deformation part in the lateral direction, and where the back plate faces the backrest supporting part.</p> |
