PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve atomization of fuel spray in a fuel injection valve for use in an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A fuel injection valve includes: a valve seat member having a valve seat on an inner wall surface; a valve element separated from and seated in the valve seat of the valve member; a fuel passage arranged downstream of the valve member; and a nozzle plate arranged downstream of the fuel passage and including injection holes for injecting a fuel. A concave portion is formed outward of an opening portion of the fuel passage in a radial direction of the nozzle plate, each of the injection holes is formed in the concave portion, and an angle α is formed between a major axis of the concave portion and an inclined axis of the injection hole.
