FAULT DETERMINATION SYSTEM AND FAULT DETERMINATION PROGRAM FOR ARRESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault determination system for arrester which is for an arrester obtained by connecting a lightning protection element having a follow current cutoff function and a gap in series and is capable of accurately determining a fault such as a fault of the element without disabling a normal article.SOLUTION: A fault determination system for arrester comprises: comparison means for comparing an oscillation amount of a first wave to final wave and the like included in detection data on discharge current of a sample arrester with that included in reference data on discharge current of a normal arrester detected under the same condition as that in the case of acquiring the detection data; and determination means for determining that the sample arrester fails when difference between the oscillation amount shown by the detection data and the oscillation amount of the reference data exceeds an allowable value, as a result of the comparison. The comparison means comprises final wave identification means for recognizing a wave which exists immediately before a time zone of the final stagnation period of the reference data and has polarity inverse to the first wave as the final wave, when detecting the final stagnation period.
