<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device and control method for foreign matter precipitation in liquid, enabling the precipitation speed of foreign matter precipitating in liquid to be controlled without reference to the temperature and viscosity of the liquid.SOLUTION: The control device for foreign matter precipitation in liquid is provided that controls the precipitation speed of foreign matter C precipitating in liquid L and includes: a storage tank 2 into which solution containing the foreign matter C having larger specific gravity than the liquid L and mixed with the liquid L is fed; an ultrasonic oscillator 3 which is provided on an inner wall of the storage tank 2 and irradiates the solution fed into the storage tank 2 with an ultrasonic wave in a direction inclined to the gravity direction; and opposing wave generating means 4 which is provided on the inner wall of the storage tank 2 opposite the ultrasonic oscillator 3, and generates an opposing wave for generating a standing pressure wave S in the solution by overlapping the ultrasonic wave emitted from the ultrasonic oscillator 3.</p> |
