The present invention relates to a retractable auxiliary ice breaker for a bow ice breaker. The retractable auxiliary ice breaker has a pair of auxiliary ice breakers arranged on both sides of a bow portion of a bow ice breaker. The auxiliary ice breaker is installed to protrude, and is symmetrical to both shoulder parts of a hull of the bow portion, respectively. The retractable auxiliary ice breaker has a retractable structure capable of appearing and disappearing toward the outside of the hull to selectively perform an ice breaking work in correspondence to a ship′s navigation environment. As such, the retractable auxiliary ice breaker for a bow ice breaker is capable of reducing navigation resistance, improving a swiveling performance through expansion of an ice channel of the bow ice breaker, and employing the retractable structure to improve navigation efficiency. |
