METHOD FOR ASSESSING EFFECTIVENESS OF PHOTOTHERMOLYSIS OF PIGMENT GRANULES IN TRABECULAR MEMBRANE CELLS FOLLOWING LASER TRABECULOPLASTY

A method consists in detecting trabecular membrane pigmentation at least one month following the laser trabeculoplasty. A colorimetric analysis is used for the process of detection. That is ensured by performing a single photorecording of the trabecular membrane at 10x to 40x magnification. Both laser exposed and non-exposed sites are photorecorded. That is followed by evaluating the colorimetric analysis results R, G, B of these sites in Paint drawing editor to be compared.
