PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a serial printer and a printing method capable of preventing an occurrence of printing density irregularities in one line.SOLUTION: A serial printer that performs printing while causing a print head having a driving element to perform scanning on a recording medium line by line includes: driving means for providing prescribed time drive to the driving element; temperature detection means for detecting an ambient temperature; and correction means for correcting the driving time of the driving means longer before the print head performs printing in one line when the detection temperature output from the temperature detection means is a prescribed temperature or lower. The correction means includes a control part for setting a correction period together with the driving time. A printing method using the serial printer is also provided. |
