PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten at least either the time from occurrence of radio link failure to the release of radio resource or the time to start connection to the other base station device different from the base station device to which the terminal is connected so far.SOLUTION: There is provided a base station device in a radio communication system in which a communication device can be simultaneously connected to the base station device and a first other base station device. From the communication device, this base station device receives a notification that failure occurs in radio link between the communication device and the first other base station device, and according to receipt of the notification, a first message showing occurrence of the failure is transmitted to the first other base station device. The first other base station device releases the connection between the first other base station device and the communication device in accordance with receipt of the first message.
