<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a chamber cell by fusing a microbial cell with a micro chamber.SOLUTION: A buffer aqueous solution (an aqueous solution in which cells can grow) is introduced to a micro chamber array to fill each micro chamber 26 with the buffer aqueous solution; a lipid-containing organic solvent which contains lipid is introduced to the micro chamber array in this state; and a lipid membrane is formed at the opening of each micro chamber 26. A cell-containing aqueous solution containing a cell wall-digesting cell 62 which digests a cell wall of a microbial cell (a bacterial protoplast or a spheroplast) is introduced to the micro chamber array; a lipid double membrane 58 is formed in each micro chamber 26; membrane fusion is generated for the cell membrane of the cell wall-digesting cell 62 and the lipid double membrane 58 in the cell-containing aqueous solution so as to fuse the cell wall-digesting cell 62 and the micro chamber 26; and a chamber cell 64 which functions as a microbial cell is produced.</p> |
