PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric heating type catalyst device in which ceramic terminals and external electrodes are connected with excellent flexibility and in which lead wires can be prevented from overheating during energization to restrain them from being broken.SOLUTION: An electric heating type catalyst device 1 comprises: a honeycomb structure body 2; a pair of electrode layers 3 provided on a surface of the honeycomb structure body 2; ceramic terminals 4 that extend from the electrode layers 3; external electrodes 5 that supply electric current to the ceramic terminals 4; and lead wires 6 that connect the ceramic terminals 4 and the external electrodes 5. The lead wires 6 are made of SUS304, SUS310, or SUS316, and each have a cross-sectional area of 2-6 mm. In addition, the lead wires 6 consist of stranded wires made by stranding a plurality of single wires 61, and the single wires 61 each have a diameter of 0.05 mm or less. |
