PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic fiber fireproof heat insulation lining construction method excellent in corrosion resistance such as scale resistance, and a furnace subjected to lining construction by the method.SOLUTION: An inorganic fiber fireproof heat insulation lining construction method includes the steps of: arranging an inorganic fiber heat insulation compact in a furnace; and attaching a liquid material containing oxide precursor onto the in-furnace heated surface side of the inorganic fiber heat insulation compact. The liquid material is impregnated to a region of at least 3-30 nm in a depth direction on a furnace wall surface side from the in-furnace heated surface side of the inorganic fiber heat insulation compact, and the attachment amount of the oxide precursor is 50-2000 g/min terms of oxides after calcination.
