<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of noise when separating a pinion from a gear after the finish of cranking.SOLUTION: A start control device of an internal combustion engine which performs control for making a pinion connected to an output shaft of a starter motor engaged with a gear for transmitting a drive force to a crank shaft of the internal combustion engine at a start of the internal combustion engine refers to a signal which is obtained at every rotation of the crank shaft at a prescribed angle, predicts timing at which a moving speed of teeth of the gear lowers below a moving speed of teeth of the pinion, and after the determination of complete explosion, performs control for separating the pinion from the gear at the timing.</p> |
