The present invention relates to a secondary battery which can improve safety during vertical compression test by enhancing the strength of a cap plate. For example, disclosed is a secondary battery which includes an electrode assembly; a can storing the electrode assembly; and a cap plate combined with the upper part of the can and sealing the can, wherein an enhancement part is characterized by being formed on at least one side of the cap plate. |
