PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel fuel filter device capable of improving water separation performance.SOLUTION: Water particles 81a with volume center grain diameter D50 of 10 to 60 μm in fuel are caught at the surfaces of filtering fibers 421 of a filter 42 and coagulated to form in advance water particles 81 with volume center grain diameter D50 of 80 to 150 μm. Then, water particles 81 are caught at the surface of the first fibers 51a of a first layer 51 of a water collecting member 50 to form a water film among the first fibers 51a. This water film is pushed out to a second layer 52 to form rough water particles 83 at the surface of second fibers 52a with lower hydrophilic property than that of the first fibers 51a and then the rough water particles are processed by precipitation separation.
