PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for computer-aided diagnosis.SOLUTION: An apparatus and method for medical diagnostics includes: a step of receiving three-dimensional volume data of a body part; a step of generating a plurality of two-dimensional slices including cross-sections of the cut three-dimensional volume data; a determination step of determining whether a lesion in each of the plurality of two-dimensional slices is benign or malignant to output a result of the determination; a selection step of selecting some of the plurality of two-dimensional slices on the basis of the results; and a derivation step of make a final determination of whether the lesion is benign or malignant on the basis of the selected two-dimensional slices.
