PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect continuity of the closed caption of a transport stream.SOLUTION: A machine 105 receives decoded closed caption information from a transport stream at an input port 110. A calculation unit 115 calculates the bit rate of the closed caption information, and outputs the calculation results. The bit rate thus calculated is plotted on a display device 125. When the bit rate thus calculated of the closed caption information becomes zero over a period longer than a period defined by a user, a warning generation unit 130 issues a warning. |
