COPYRIGHT PROTECTION METHOD AND PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR 3D PRINTER OUTPUT DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform copyright protection on a molded article itself output from a 3D printer in distributing 3D printer output data.SOLUTION: Original data D1 for outputting a molded article M such as a statue from a 3D printer 150 and a unique code 10 to be added to the data for copyright protection are prepared. The unique code 10 is made to be displayed as a one-dimensional bar code 21 (or two-dimensional bar code 22); a 3D bar code 30 is created by an uneven structure surface having information on the bar code 21. A three-dimensional block 35 having the 3D bar code on its upper surface is defined and is composed inside the original data D1 to create composite data D2 to be distributed through a network. When a user gives the composite data D2 to the 3D printer 150, a molded article H whose appearance is the same as the molded article M is obtained. When an X-ray CT scanner device 200 externally scans the molded article H, the 3D bar code 30 inside the molded article H can be recognized and the unique code 10 can be read out.
