PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance visibility of a warning lamp in prioritizing visibility of an indicating lamp, in a meter cluster having warning lamp, indicating lamp and image display unit.SOLUTION: A display image generation device generates a display image for an image display unit 21 in a meter cluster of a vehicle that has a warning lamp, an indicating lamp indicating an operation state of apparatus of the vehicle, and the image display unit 21. The display image generation device comprises a display image generation unit 5. When the warning lamp lights up, the display image generation unit 5 displays a warning icon for notifying a driver of light of the warning lamp on a base image in a superimposed manner, and when the indicating lamp lights up, the display image generation unit 5 displays an indicating icon for notifying the driver of light of the indicating lamp on the base image in a superimposed manner. When both warning lamp and indicating lamp light up, the display image generation unit 5 displays both warning icon and indicating icon in such a manner that the warning icon is more discreet than the indicating icon. |
