PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guard fence capable of suppressing bending deformation directed in a height direction of a protective net, by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A protective net includes a cross rope 30 that has a buffer function by making a buffer implement 50 hold an overlapping part near both ends of the rope long enough to be capable of continuously running approximately in a figure of eight between upper and lower parts of adjacent supports 10 and 10 and in vertically oblique directions crossing each other, and a net 20 that is horizontally laid between the supports 10 and 10 via the cross rope 30.
