PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively avoid that grease and a working fluid existing between a sub-lip surface and a shaft slide surface becomes small in amount, slide resistance is increased, and a squeal (noise) is generated, even if a high-pressure working fluid acts.SOLUTION: A sealing device which seals an annular clearance between two members, is fitted and fixed to one member out of the two member, and sealingly slides with the other member, includes: a metallic material-made reinforcing ring which is formed of a cylinder part and a flange part, and has an L-shape in its cross section; an elastic-material made fit part which is integrally arranged at a peripheral face of the cylinder part, and fitted and fixed to one member; and an elastic material-made seal member which is integrally arranged at the flange part, and formed of a main lip part which sealingly slides with the other member, a sub-lip part and a dust lip part. A salient part is formed at the sub-lip part. The salient part has helical projections having an inclination angle which contradicts with an atmosphere-side inclined face and an oil-side inclined face of the sub-lip part. |
