PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a liquid crystal display device that has an alignment layer subjected to light alignment treatment, overlaps the alignment layer and sealant to reduce the size of a frame area, and can ensure the reliability of a seal part.SOLUTION: A first alignment layer 110 and a second alignment layer 110 are overlapped with sealant 150; the first alignment layer 110 and the second alignment layer 110 are formed of a material including an amine-based silane coupling material in an amount of 0.5 wt.% or more and 2 wt.% or less; the sealant 150 can be made to have a degree of shrinkage of 5.1% or less and a storage elastic modulus of 9.2 Pa or less, which are evaluated on the basis of the volume change measured by a specific gravity method, to reduce the size of a frame area x and maintain the reliability of a seal part. |
